use an MX64w with an MX68

Hi: I replaced my MX64W with an MX68 -  I need it more physical ports.

my question is: can I also use the old MX64W and use it as WiFi access point?

yes, but you have to put the device into a different Dashboard network. And the config will be a little bit strange as you need dashboard communication through the WAN-port and typically provide WLAN communication through the LAN-port.

You will need a license to activate the MX on the dashboard If you have already the license you can use it with no problem.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Not really.  It can't be in the same network as an MX68.

I guess you could create a seperate network and put the MX64W into that.  You would still need a licence for the MX64W.
