The Client needs to associeted to Meraki SSID with their user and password defined in Azure AD

Meraki SSID Access control - The Client needs to associeted to SSID with their user and password defined in Azure AD

Please, I need your help to know if is it possible to configure in Meraki to the Client get associated to SSID with their user and password defined in Azure AD.

I found links about the Meraki-Azure AD integration, but all these links only speak of the registration in the Cisco Meraki dashboard by Azure AD, but unfortunately I do not find any link about the possibility of configuring in Meraki that the Client get associated to SSID with your user and password defined in Azure AD.

Please, I look forward your advaice about this issue.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Alejandro

Kind of a big deal

The system that WiFi uses (WPA2-Enterprise) and AzureAD doesn't support any compatible methods to do authentication.  Not a Meraki issue - a general issue.

You need to use a third-party solution.

Some people use Azure AADS and deploy an NPS server in Azure - but Microsoft doesn't support this configuration.  So if it breaks tomorrow, bad luck.

Examples of third party solutions include:

Hello Philip:

First of all, Thanks a lot for your answer. It was very useful your answer.

I told my Client about the request of posibility that "The Client needs to associeted to Meraki SSID with their user and password defined in Azure AD" and I mentioned yours advaices.

Then, they decided to ask me to find another posiblility to the users autenticate in Meraki with their user and password in AD. I keep you posted about this request.

Again, Thank you very much for your help.

Best Regards
Alejandro

Ajdini,

Surely if you're utilising Azure AD you have an on-prem AD server as well? Can you not use LDAP authentication and a RADIUS Server instead of trying to authenticate to the cloud?

Cheers

Alex
