Same SSID is hidden and not hidden when I scan through inSSIDer software

Hi Community,

I'm having two MR36 APs. Both APs broadcast the SSID "SS_Internal" (not hidden). I recently downloaded "inSSIDer" wireless scanning software to my windows laptop and scanned to network to find out that there are two SSIDs which were broadcasting with the same SSID. One is hidden and the other is not. The hidden SSID is open as per the tool.

Is there anyone who can explain this to me? I have attached two screenshots.

1 - Config in the meraki dashboard.

Could be the mesh ssid in case you have meshing enabled (default setting)

Check on Wireless > Configure > SSID availability if the Per-AP availability is enabled or disabled:

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

The per AP availability settings is enabled in my senario.
