SSID traffic-shaping

Trying to t-shoot an issue with one of our clients.  We have traffic shaping rules on the SSID enable to 2Mbps.  My question is: Does this even effect LAN speeds or is it just internet speeds?

I assume  that its  based on all  the matching  traffic of your rule

Well, you're limiting the SSID as a whole, right (or more precisely the clients within)? How should the system know what exactly it should not limit? 😉

I think it's going to limit all clients no matter what they are trying to do.  The question got asked to me by one of our clients so I was just trying to clarify before I gave them a definite answer.

Not a bad question.

Would make sense if it would separate the throttling based on Internet or Intranet bound. Local LAN traffic (say file transfer to a server) would be unlimited, but Internet destined traffic would have the throttling etc. However I believe it applies to all traffic no matter what. If I had time, a quick iPerf test would confirm 😃
