Remote WAPs

Hi there,

Thanks for reading.

How do remote MR33s behave if they lose sight of the local controller?  Do they continue to switch traffic; invisible to users?  Or do they drop all traffic?

Thanks again,

Bob

Hi @BChimp0

there are no local controllers for any Meraki devices.  All the magic is done in the cloud:

If the MR or any Meraki device loses connection to the cloud then your device will function as normal and will continue to service clients locally.  But you won’t be able to make any admin changes to the device on the dashboard
