MR32 Beacon TX power modification

Hi,

Is it possible to modify the transmission power of the BT beacons of Meraki APs, type MR32?

They seem to have a fixed TX power, and contrary to the wifi radio power, there's no modification option.

Background: we have 200+ APs over 5 office locations. And we have dumb apps on mobile devices, that cannot perform triangular calculations to locate themselves. By downthrottling the transmission reach of each AP, we achieve precision by simply tying a beacon to a limited area.

Thanks,

Kees

Meraki APs with an integrated Bluetooth Low Energy radio can emit Beacons with following technical specifications:

  • Beacon interval: 100 ms (best effort)
  • Transmit power: 0 dBm
