Can we factory reset a cisco 9200 integrated into the Meraki dashboard ?

Hello

I tried to convert my cisco 9200 to "meraki cloud".

Unfortunately, the conversion doesn't seem to have worked, and I no longer have control via the CLI, and the switch doesn't appear on the dashboard.

I tried a factory reset using the button on the front panel, but that doesn't seem to work.

I don't enter "switch" mode at startup. I suspect that Meraki mode has disabled this function.

Is there any other way besides sending it in for an RMA?

Thanks

It should work. Have you tried contacting support?

They should be able to help you.

I contacted them about my initial problem (unable to connect to the cloud), but not yet about this one.

For my initial problem, they asked me to check the firewall... even though I specified that I don't have a firewall on my network.

Furthermore, for my initial problem, I think the issue stems from the switch having its VLAN 1 interface disabled (I don't know why), hence no IP address and no internet connection.

For this problem, I used the standard procedure but with no result..

1 - First, connect the serial console cable and verify whether you have access to the serial console. Also, verify whether you have physical access to the switch and can unplug the power.

2 - Unplug the power cable to power down the switch. While holding down the button at the left top corner (next to the "S" LED), plug in back in. Keep the button pressed for at least 10 seconds, until the "S" LED is solid green. The console output will also state the boot from "packages.conf" has been aborted, and the "switch:" prompt is showing.

I believe you should contact support in this case.

Hello,

Thanks for your post,  unfortunately, absolutely nothing works. The reset procedure doesn't function, as if the "mode" button is disabled.

I'm going to request an RMA.
