vmx-l unable to connect to meraki dashboarf

Hi Guys,

 

I need some help on vmx-l. 

 

We recently added vmx-l to the dashboard with the aim of integrating to AWS. All configurations have been done on both AWS and Meraki dashboards but the vmx-l is still unable to connect to Meraki Cloud.

 

The TCP port 7734 is already permitted on the dashboard, instance already created with network interface attached on , VPC, subnets and route table updated on AWS and certified ok by AWS support.

 

We have also tried to regenerate the AWS token, yet the situation remains the same.

 

In case you have faced a similar issue, kindly share how this was resolved.

Hi @adten , if the vMX isn’t registering to the cloud then there’s an issue with the downstream firewall within AWS.  I assume all the relevant ports have been allowed and not just 7734.

I'm not an employee of Cisco/Meraki. My posts are based on Meraki best practice and what has worked for me in the field.

Infact, all ports are allowed for now. This was on purpose to ensure there are no restrictions at this point. Despite allowing all ports, the situation remains same.
