Site to Site Drops

Morning,

Since upgrading from the mx600 to 450 we are seeing 1-3 minute drops in our site to site between it and a 100 on another network.

The ISP between us has a Meraki and they do not see any drops in the connection. We just see it on the VPN.

Continuous ping to the internet from the 100 do not drop, pings to the internal over VPN does show drops. Same test from the 450 show the same results to the internet and to the 100 network.

TIA

If the traffic is okay, is it just that the MX autovpn reports the connection went down and back up?

If so we get these every day and for us it generally seems to be when the tail at one of the sites is quite busy, usually showing a slightly increased latency, though not to the point of dropping packets.

Our drops happen randomly. Times where there is little traffic going over it or normal.

I also verified it's not a false report as packets do drop.

Sorry, misread your post!

Perhaps you could set a watch on the public IP of the other end to monitor it from the Meraki perspective.

Sounds like a software bug to me.  Are you running recent firmware?
