MX 64 with failover

Looking at putting in an MX64 with the Accelerated 6310-DX03 LTE option for cellular failover. Wanted to know if a prepaid cellular plan can be used with this or does it have to be sometime of monthly plan with one of the carriers?

The hardware doesn't care what type of plan the cellular service provides, only that the modem is compatible with the hardware. Provided it is - the plan you choose to use doesn't mater

Looks like that device will just look like another WAN connection to the MX.  Are you wanting to just use this as a backup circuit or active/active?

What speed do you want the LTE device to operate at?

As @ChrisKemsley said, it doesn't car about what plan you want to use.  It just needs IP connectivity to the Internet.
