MPLS NAT and Routing on MX devices

Hi All,

Anyone know if  Meraki will allow a VLAN to be 'routed' out onto the Internet / WAN Interface without being NAT'd? Would this be something possible for the MX64's to do?

It would be great for our VOIP traffic to head onto the MPLS link without being NAT'd but simply routed. As reverse access method we have had to create 1:1 rules for every VOIP handset within the VLAN.

We cannot have the VOIP enter the AutoVPN as this only terminates in one DC adding too much latency to the data path.

Thanks!

The MX only NATs traffic to a destination not in its routing table (excluding the default route). So add the destination to the route table.

Hi PhilipDAth,

How do I go about adding the networks? As a static route I then need a next hop IP that is a local network? Or is there another way I'm not aware of?

Thanks,

Ben

The next hop will be your MPLS router.
