New MX250

We just received our new MX250 and I need to assign a static IP address to one of the Internet ports. How do I do this?

Hi,

You can configure a static IP via the local status page. Here is a link to the instructions on how to connect. https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Tools_and_Troubleshooting/Using_the_Cisco_Me...

Hi @alexi1 , you have two options:

1: use the dedicated management port. Connect via Ethernet to your machine.

2: use any of the LAN ports. Your machine will get an IP via dhcp.

The username you’ll need is the serial of the MX, no password required.

Enjoy

@alexi1 A good way to start is read the material provided in the box,

In addition to the already mentioned local status page, there is another way (IMHO much easier):

Connect the second WAN port to your internal Network where DHCP and internet is provided. After the device comes online in the dashboard, you can configure the first WAN-port.
