Custom report (or monitor) using "Tags" for switchport ports

Hi,   I need to monitor specific ports across different switches in the same network for any drops and I thought a tag would be a good place to start.  I've gone through the list of equipment assigning a tag to their switch ports.  However, it seems that I cannot find how to setup a report, or an alert to monitor them.  I would appreciate any guidance to setup something up for monitoring or alerting.  I'm still learning where all the tools are in the dashboard.  I found a very old blog dated Dec 2013 that talks about this ability but it doesn't explain how to setup it.  Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Kind of a big deal

Once you have tags you can set up those type of alerts under network wide, alerts.

For an actual report you'd probably need to pull data via the API or setup webhooks.  You could also use SNMP monitoring, but the alerts probably wouldn't be needed in that case.

Hi Mloraditch,  thank you.  I found a line under the section for "Switch" in Network-wide alerts, so my question now is, Is it possible to add second alert like this?  I need to keep uplink for different purposes.

There is not, this where an SNMP monitoring system would be more useful.

The only other thing is you can use multiple tags, you could create a separate tag that encompasses all your ports that need alerting.

Ok,  I will look into SNMP.  I appreciate your input.

I will have to put this on a back burner for right now.   I was hoping it would be a quick, easy, just a couple of clicks to add a custom report or monitor or alert.  Thank you again for the suggestion.
