To have no passcode and how to rename an ipad

Is it possible to not have to set a passcode on an managed ipad and how to rename the ipad once it's in dep and managed by meraki?

Kind of a big deal

@adamc25 There are three different settings to accomplish this:

Under restrictions:

Allow modification of device name
Keep device name up-to-date with Dashboard
Allow modification of passcode settings

Make sure you do not apply any passcode policies to the device as well.

@vassallon I have set these on:

-Allow modification of device name

-Keep device name up-to-date with Dashboard

For some reason device name settings are still grayed out on ipads and can't be changed. Any thougths what can cause this?

@Tapas  If you look at the devices event log can you see it has updated its profile since you made the changes?

Like @BlakeRichardson said, can you please make sure the profiles are up to date on this iPad? It sounds like either the new profile didn't install yet or that there is possibly a secondary profile that is blocking the change.

Trust me if you Allow modification of device name the iPad name should be able to be changed, the students love to change the names if I leave that one open for them.
