MDM and your organization

Following are the issues we faced so far during Meraki MDM implementations and we are yet to test some more features.

 * When a mobile device is initially enrolled to MDM All the system applications duplicate in the app drawer(PFA screen captures).
 * The duplicated applications belong to a work profile, policies or restrictions only apply to the copy of the app in the work profile.
 * Some mobile devices require encryption before enrolling, which significantly reduces the performances of the device.
 * The MDM behaves differently(unpredictably) on different mobile brands running the same operating systems.
 * Some policies do not apply to the devices depending on the mobile brand and the OS.

"The duplicated applications belong to a work profile, policies or restrictions only apply to the copy of the app in the work profile."

This happens when you use Android in BYOD mode.  Android only offers one way to keep personal and corporate data separate - and that is by duplicating the applications and putting the corporate data in separate containers.  If these are company owned devices you want to use "Device Owner" mode instead.

You will also find Android devices are more predictable in Device Owner mode.

Yeah I solved the problem and understood whats happens with android device enrollment.

You can also control which apps are made available in the work profile, or in device owner mode through the 'System Apps' payload: https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Apps_and_Software/Controlling_Android_System_Apps
