How to make devices check in more frequently, eg GPS location + MAC address online alerts

Looking for some insight on how to accomplish the following:

1. How can we make devices check in more frequently, e.g. GPS location.

2. Can we be notified/alerted by email when a specific mac address comes online or joins a network? I know you can set an alert for a computer with a tag in Systems Manager > Configure > Alerts, but wondering for MAC address.

Thanks!

2. Network wide-> alerts. But it looks like that this option is there only if you have an MX. I tried it but immediatelly turned it off since it sends email everytime the device logs in and logs off. And if you plan to track the smartphone then there will be a lot of emails. 410D2AE5-AFAC-4B0C-BF7F-00F4689EEBED.jpeg

Kind of a big deal

Which regard to GPS - no.  This is completely up to the device.

You can ask a device to refresh its location though from the Meraki dashboard.
