I wil lsubmit this via the "make a wish" as well but wanted to share my thoughts her and see what people thought.
As previously mentioned in another thread my Org had 10 iPads stolen and below is a couple of ideas I have had that might help in recovery for stolen devices.
1. being able to take a screenshot, this can be done on Mac and Windows devices but not iOS devices.
2. being able to see what Apple ID is being used on the device to make purchases
I'd be interested on any feedback anyone has regarding this.
Wouldn't their GPS location be the most valuable piece of information?
The screenshot idea sounds pretty smart to me!
How about being able to take a picture using their front camera!
I believe the screen shot wish is a limitation by Apple not Meraki. I am not sure about the Apple ID.
This would be great,
Imagine if the person try the unlock code and fail,
the iPad would take a photo using the front camera and send it as an alert to admin,
including the GPS location.
Cerberus app made it, some years ago.
@PhilipDAth GPS location would be good but devices have been reset and can't get GPS becuase location services haven't been enabled.
