Hi,
We have a small number of Android system that we want to manage with Meraki with Device Owner mode.
In the special case of Android 5.0.2 we used ADB tu push Meraki SM and set device owner.
Every thing works well but an update of Meraki is available from Play Store for EDU.
The point is that update cycling stop working after install so we cannot deploy any more apps using Meraki.
We have disabled Automatic updates but Meraki is still on the list of available updates and student might try start updating…
We are looking for solution to have Meraki working even if it's updated or disabling Meraki own updates.
For now We tried to :
- blacklist Meraki SM with Knox (delete device owner account)
- set Meraki as managed private apps (just do Nothing)
For now we have a temporary solution : we deploy Meraky and apps and disable Play Store services in Google Admin cause we can't mage settings of Play store as is.
We can't use this solution for long cause for deploying new app whe have to enable Play Store for new app deployment and afford students to update Meraki and version missmatch will flood us..
