Block Guest WiFi

Have a problem with users connecting to a guest wifi on a managed device?

Saw this on another form and thought it was a neat work around ~ push out the wifi SSID, disable auto-join, and put in a random & wrong password! Device won't join the wifi and user does not have the option to override it.

Yep, we do that here to keep student devices off of the guest network and on the correct SSID for their iPads.

If it's a supervised iOS device, you can also use 'Enforce Wi-Fi whitelisting (iOS 10.3+)' in the restrictions payload to limit users to only connect to SSIDs pushed down by SM! One tip with this would be to configure a backup SSID to be used only as backup in case the primary goes down or is unreachable so that the device isn't stuck offline.

@PatrickL I did see that restriction. I wish Apple also gave admins the option to do a whitelist/blacklist for WiFi networks.
